While Dame Sarr puts on an absolute clinic at the Nike Hoops Summit – there has been a big Illini development in his recruitment as decision looms

If we are to believe Bob (Bob is from Bridgeport, those guys are solid and yep, I’m buying in. Last time I bought in we landed my guy Mirk) this is a major development for the University of Illinois Men’s basketball team. Dame is currently putting on a show at the Nike Hoops Summit in Portland and apparently moving up NBA Draft Boards which is technically a bad thing for Illini fans but we like it a little – good to be in on these guys end of the day. We’re hunting with the big dogs and that’s what matters. But reality is it’s making the Illini people nervous. Supposedly it’s between the NBA and the Illini and again this is a good thing but we need Dame Sarr in the line-up next season so that’s what we need to hear. Bob is hearing good things which makes me feel good here. Fluid situation.

Now I have mentioned that Dame is at the very top of my off-season priority list; maybe even 2nd to bringing Will back and even then it’s a 1A 1B situation. But with the strides Dame is making on the circuit, I don’t think you can wait for Will to decide on this one; I think you pull the trigger on Dame regardless. Rumored to be an either/or situation between Dame and Will but I don’t believe it. They’re both in my line-up right now gun to my head. We need strong athletic wings that can score and Dame is that. Bucket getters. I’m getting excited. Yeah I have my fucking cup on but Bob’s tweet is exactly what I needed on a Saturday morning. Hopefully we get a commitment before the work-week starts on Monday. I’m getting greedy or impatient or both. We need dudes. Again, absolutely fluid situation guys but good news. Good damn news.
